First track on this CD is a squeaky 13 year old Buddy Holly showing his prowess as a young guitarist and singing "My Two Timin' Woman", this was recorded on a wire recorder, a forerunner of the domestic tape recorder. "I'll Just Pretend" is a Buddy and Bob Montgomery recording from the earlyto mid 50's. "Take These Shackles From My Heart" is a circa 1992 effort by Buddy and Bob, this recording is in quite bad condition. "Footprints In The Snow" is a song that Johnny Duncan and the Blue Grass Boys made famous in the UK in the mid 1950's. This recording is also in bad condition. Some of the contents of CD1 are the recordings that were released on the "Holly In The Hills" (UK CORAL LVA 9227) album and were recorded in less than studio conditions so do not sound very "Hi-Fi". After Norman Petty had overdubbed them using the Fireballs, they sounded a little less "Country".
