The first five tracks are undubbed versions without the Fireballs backing tracks added by Norman Petty between 1963 and 1969.
"Words Of Love" is an acetate recording in quite poor condition and whilst it is not backed by other musiscians, it contains an overdub of Buddy harmonising with himself. The two jingles turn up again followed by a version of "Send Me Some Lovin'" without backing vocals. Four versions of "Mona" are included with Buddy struggling to get the guitar playing just right, I wish that he had recorded this for release, it sounds really good!
Three versions of "That's My Desire" are included, nobody was satisfied with the outcome of this song but a later overdub by Petty made it into a pretty cool ballad. "Now We're One" was rumoured to have been recorded in stereo but I have yet to that version. This version is the released take with an engineer's countdown.
Four radio jingles are next, with Buddy singing new words to "Everyday", "Peggy Sue" and telling listeners of the KLLL, WACK and KSYD radio stations.
