The seventh and last CD in this boxset starts off with four tracks found on Buddy's tape recorder in his New York apartment after his death. Next are three radio broadcasts which tell of the plane crash and the "Three Stars" deaths. They show that some reports were innacurate at that time. Next are four interviews by American's Red Robinson, Dale Lowery, Dick Clark (who went on to be a major league player on American TV) and Australian Pat Barton.
The Sonny Curtis tracks were recorded in 1955 at the Nesman Recording Studios in Witchita Falls, roughly the same time as Buddy and Bob were making their own recordings there.
See CD2 for details on the Rick Tucker recordings.
Jerry "IVAN" Allison's recordings of "Real Wild Child" and "Oh You Beautiful Doll" are included and Buddy's guitar work is missing on the underdubbed version 1 of "Real Wild Child". Two underdubs of "Oh You Beautiful Doll" are present along with the released version. The underdubs contain no bottles on the middle instrumental, unusually, either Buddy or Jerry hit on the idea to use "tuned" bottles filled with water to hit exactly the right note!
Lou Giordano was signed to Holly's fledgling PRISM label and the two songs featured here were written by Holly and Phil Everly respectively. Buddy and Phil also provided the falsetto backing vocals for "Don't Cha Know".
