Crickets File 1961-65 sleeve notes by noted Holly historian John Firminger
state that the group had more hits without Buddy than with him...perhaps
that's cruel since poor Buddy did not have a choice in this matter, and
maybe they would have reconciled their differences...but nevertheless it
remains a fact. Not all of their Liberty hit singles appear on this album
since they had other albums out at the time which concentrated on their
"Greatest Hits" but don't be fooled into thinking that this stuff is second
rate.
