In Style With The Crickets

The original Album when released had only twelve tracks and this CD has the same 12 plus 6 bonus tracks taken from the same period in the Crickets recording period. When Buddy Holly decide to base himself in New York the other two members of the Crickets decided that they wanted to go back to West Texas. Norman Petty quickly gave them a new singer to work with and they recorded some tracks as soon as they could both at Clovis, New Mexico and New York. When Buddy died in the plane crash they decided that if you wanted to make it musically at that time in America that you should be in one of three places, New York, Los Angeles or Nashville.
Now they already had experience of Nashville and they had already recorded in New York so they decide that heading west to the Pacific coast would be good for them. There last recording for Coral featured another new singer David Box, who would record just one single with them "Peggy Sue Got Married" backed with "Don't Cha Know".
