Mike Berry - A Tribute To Buddy Holly
Mike Berry's 1960 single "Tribute To Buddy Holly" is the title track on this Hallmark U.K. CD. Mike is well known in England as a perennial favourite amongst rockers of all ages, and at one time was billed by the music press as a natural successor to Buddy. He had several hit records in the 1960's all of which were produced by the legendary Joe Meek of "Telstar" fame. He had to wait until the 80's for his next hit which was "The Sunshine Of Your Smile".
    On this CD my favourite track is Mike's version of the elusive Holly penned song "Stay Close To Me" which sadly the author did not record or the tape was lost.
