Reminiscing

I would like to invite visitors to share personal recollections of when they first heard a Buddy Holly record and how they felt about what they heard.

It would be especially cool to give background to relate to what they were doing in their lives at that time.

For instance I would purposely get detention at school for some minor misdemeanor simply to serve out my "sentence" and then report to the school secretary's office to hand in whatever punishment I had been given (usually by writing 1000 times "I must not **********whatever I did wrong*********") and if the secretary was not there, steal some "Youth Club" passes. You had to be 14 years of age to attend Youth Clubs which were run by volunteers in the evening at schools all over town and ....... you guessed it, membership was not restricted to male pupils! Well as time passed I got quite casual about my little business venture ...... it all ended in tears when the NEW secretary hit on the idea of keeping the passes in the Headmaster's office........NOBODY dared to enter his office!
